On the evening of September 24th, SiriusXM will pay tribute to Nirvana at a very special and intimate two-hour LIVE “Town Hall” event to commemorate the 20th anniversary of one of popular music’s most iconic releases, Nevermind.

Nirvana’s Nevermind album is still regarded as one of the most influential musical releases EVER.  Its release forever changed the landscape of rock music and the band’s impact on fans and musicians alike continues to this day.

SiriusXM wants to give YOU the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to speak live and in person with members of Nirvana – Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl – along with one of music’s most respected producers, Butch Vig, who produced the 1991 release that went on to sell 30 million copies worldwide.  You’ll have the chance to ask all three a question at this rare event for SiriusXM subscribers.  A select group of Nirvana’s biggest and most knowledgeable fans will have the opportunity to be part of the intimate studio audience at the event, which includes a meet-and-greet with Novoselic, Grohl, and Vig.

To qualify, we’re asking SiriusXM subscribers to submit their most creative and insightful questions about Nirvana’s re-issue of Nevermind or their musical career, for the chance to pose the question in person to Novoselic, Grohl, and Vig directly at the event.  We’ll choose twenty (20) of the best questions and invite those people to meet up in New York City, where they will be face to face with Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Butch Vig to ask their question LIVE during this very special event on September 24th (see Official Rules for details).

Each of the twenty (20) winners will receive a copy of Nevermind: 20th Anniversary Edition 2011 Remastered (2CD Deluxe Edition) as well as a copy of the Nirvana: Live at the Paramount DVD.  For more information, visit

There will also be a chance to call in with questions during the live broadcast, giving SiriusXM listeners the chance to speak to speak to Novoselic, Grohl, and Vig as well.

How did the idea come about to reissue Nevermind? Have you always felt that it wasn’t the true sound that you wanted or was it just recently decided as a way to celebrate? Do you think Kurt would be happy with the outcome?
