Soundgarden have a video for their newly-released track “Live To Rise” in the works. Director Robert Hales (Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers) is helming the clip, which is expected to emerge in the near future. The song itself appears on the soundtrack to the upcoming motion picture, “The Avengers“, due out May 1st.

Aww, was hoping it’d be Joss Whedon =P. Cool anyway.

  • Junior

This sounds very cool and interesting. Can’t wait to see what they do with this one.

They’re definitely getting a lot of mileage out of a song they basically wrote on a whim, in less than a week. Over the weekend, it was used for a big weekend montage on Sportscenter (basically a two minute video).

    Ew.

I’m imagining basically a Avengers trailer with a few split-second cuts to Soundgarden performing the song just so they can call it a “music video” instead of a 4-minute-long Avengers commercial.

Esse “be” é um pau no cu boqueteiro do caralho viadinho

  • Mia

Yeah, I think it’s gonna mostly be Avengers film footage with a little Soundgarden footage thrown in. Wish they would just wait to do a music video for the new album.

completeley unrelated, brett please cover filter :)

as much as we dislike or are not thrilled by the song, it is getting alot of mileage and reaching casual rock fans with its generic rock sound (and use in commericals and this video). Soundgarden’s profile will definitely have risen by the time the album does come out.

    Exactly!
