SMASHING PUMPKINS WORKING ON NEW MIX OF MACHINA FOR FUTURE REISSUE

Crestfallen.com is reporting that Billy Corgan is working on a fresh mix of the Smashing Pumpkins albums MACHINAS I and II, originally released in 2000. This is presumably for the future MACHINA reissue, where Billy Corgan plans to release MACHINA as the double album he originally intended it to be, with a new tracklisting order. The Pumpkins are still a few reissues away from MACHINA though.

It was confirmed quite a while ago that Flood is on board for the mixing sessions!

    Great news.

Just remaster Machina2 and give it away Billy just like you did the first time.Wasn’t it supposed to be a gift to the fans? yeah I won’t buy it.

  • Is he one?

Machina 2 remastered is what I am/was the most excited about. Finally “White Spiders” and “Blue skies bring tears(heavy)” with a good sound.

The Machina II recordings sound like garbage; it’ll be nice to finally get proper mixes of them. Home is such an amazing song, but I have live bootlegs from the Arising! tour that sound better than the studio version.
