Slash Responds To Guns N’ Roses Reunion Rumors With Manager Statement

On the latest Eddie Trunk podcast, Trunk discussed recently contacting Slash’s management for a comment regarding rampant Guns N’ Roses reunion rumors that have spread following the reports of Axl Rose and Slash reconciling. Trunk was told by Team Slash that the whole thing has been blown far out of proportion, and he’s laying low now when it comes to interviews. Trunk did say that he believes a Guns N’ Roses reunion will eventually happen.

Whiplash recently accused the reporter who conducted the interview where Slash revealed he had ended his feud with Rose of sensationalizing the story through ‘cut and paste’ editing. Frasse Levinsson, the reporter who conducted the interview, refuted this accusation. “Which answer seems out of place? I only asked him six questions. I think that the only one left out is: How are you tonight? I’ve read your article via Google Translate. What happened was that I said ‘after all those year….after all those years,’ so they edited that away. I can e-mail you the sound file of the full interview if you would like that.”

Slash stated the interview with Aftonbladet that he and former Guns N’ Roses bandmate Axl Rose are friends again.

The reporter asked: “I heard you made friends with Axl Rose again, how was that possible after all those years?”

Slash responded: “It was probably way over due but it was very cool at this point. Let some of that…Dispell some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”

Slash refused to discuss a possible Guns N’ Roses reunion, asking to change the subject. The Guns N’ Roses News Twitter has a major update on this story, reporting that Axl Rose and Slash have been communicating for months, with a source informing them about their reconciliation months ago.
