Scott Stapp called into Toronto’s KISS 92.5 a couple days ago to discuss his current financial and personal issues, the Toronto Sun reports.
“In 2012, I was doing a promotional tour for my book, Sinner’s Creed,” Stapp told the radio hosts. “I went on Fox News, I expressed a little concern and disappointment with President Obama. Well, within two months of that statement, the IRS began to freeze my accounts.
“I believe that the IRS situation is definitely a result of me expressing my dissatisfaction with President Obama. Absolutely, 100%. When my assets were frozen, I wasn’t able to pay my mortgage.”
Stapp added that he now only has $616.
“(Jaclyn) released some text messages that you allegedly sent to her,” the host later said to Stapp. “One of them says, ‘Florida is not safe, biological weapons on the way. You have to leave with the kids. Meet me in Atlanta.’ The other one reads, ‘I’m coming to get you Satan and children no mercy…’ Another is ‘God is telling me something about Palm Springs and Nashville and there’s a connection somehow’…”
Stapp laughed. “It’s funny.”
“From an outsider’s point of view, this is what it seems like,” Roz continued. “She’s claiming you can talk to God, you’re claiming you were targeted because you spoke out about Obama, somebody had hacked your phone, there’s identity theft. Have you sought help for anything else? Do you think you might need to see a doctor to check out your mental health?”
Stapp said he’d been to three hospitals to prove he was sober and saw a psychologist, and that he’s all good.
