Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Mark Hoppus & Others Celebrate Independence Day

Across the United States Saturday, Americans are celebrating the 239th anniversary of their country’s independence from Britain. Likewise, many of the rock and roll community took to social media to acknowledge this monumental day:

Just wanted to give a big, hearty shout-out to resident AltNation anti-American haters Chris and Corndog: this Bud, this cheeseburger and this firearm are for you!

    Love,

    AMERICA

(The Greatest Fucking Country in the World)

Only an American could ever say that! 😛

    1) America is a continent
    2) Sorry, but it is not the best country in the world. It is a quite good country, but don’t think it is the best.

      2) As I said…. “only an American could ever say that!” 😛

America likes to think it is the best and most influential country in the world….. it’s all in the eye of the beholder.

Actually, it’s all in the super power that influences every other part of the world. Western civilization or bust. Name me one country that wouldn’t kill to be on the level America is.

Power doesn’t make a country the best. Neither does government and authorities striving to hold power and influence over other countries.

I would have to say China has a lot more power in the world then most people realise. It is on a more subtle level though.

Manufacturing, retail and the economy would collapse if we (western civilisation) did not have a supply of mass produced Chinese ‘goods.’ Most people would be walking around half naked because they don’t know how to repair there jeans yet alone afford the ‘home country’ manufactured clothing.
And imagine the post-technology apocalypse. People having total break down because they don’t have access to affordable electrical goods.

By all means government and authorities want power and influence, but in the end most people just want happy healthy lives. Ironically western civilisation is getting higher and higher rates of illness (physical and mental) and struggling to support themselves and there families.

Actually, NORTH America is a continent. Which also includes Canada. So you’re wrong.

America — short for The United States of America — is a country. And the leading country on pretty much all significant fronts the world has to offer.

Am I proud to be an American? Absolutely. Do I laugh at others who are jealous they’re not American? Most definitely.
