PATTY SCHEMEL HINTS THAT REUNION OF ORIGINAL HOLE LINEUP COULD LEAD TO NEW MUSIC

In a surprising turn of events, former Hole drummer Patty Schemel has hinted to Billboard.com that the reunion of Hole’s classic (not quite original) Live Through This era lineup at the premiere of her documentary tonight could lead to more:

“It’ll be exciting,” Schemel tells Billboard.com, “and, y’know, it’s a little stressful I guess. I haven’t seen everyone all together in 13 years. I’ve seen everyone individually, but not all together. It’ll be exciting.” As to whether it might result in some music-making, Schemel adds, “Nothing has been discussed, but I have a feeling… Who knows.”

Courtney Love resurrected the Hole name last year for the release of Nobody’s Daughter, and wrapped touring with her revamped lineup last September. Founding guitarist Eric Erlandson voiced his displeasure about Courtney using the name to GrungeReport.net last year.  Since last September Courtney Love’s revamped Hole has been on hiatus.
