MUDHONEY GUITARIST TALKS ABOUT MEETING EDDIE VEDDER DURING MOOKIE BLAYLOCK DAYS

From grungebook.tumblr.com

“When I saw Mookie Blaylock, I’d already met Ed [Vedder] ‘cause he came over to the house that we lived at for a photo shoot Mudhoney was doing with Chris Cuffaro, a photographer from L.A. He came over as Chris’s photo assistant—he knew him from his time in L.A.—and he was this super-cool, nice guy that we were hangin’ out with all day long…. And after that, we found out he was actually the singer for Mookie Blaylock. It was a perfect way to meet Ed. He didn’t want it to be known who he was so that we could get to know him without any kind of preconceived notion of him as their new singer. He’s a very astute guy.”
