Courtney Love has contacted Keith Richards’ son to ask him for help with her “addictions”.

The Hole rocker posted a message to clean-living Marlon Richards on his Facebook page, saying she is packing her bags and heading from her New York home to the South West English county of Dorset to get help.

In her post she asked Marlon to help her find an “addictions” doctor who could to visit her “where I’m staying in Dorset, twice, three times a week”.

According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she added: “It’s an emergency, I only have the house for a week. Hurry Marlon, I need to pack for UK now. I have PA and minder, need nurses and Dr to kick some nasty s**t (sic).”

It is not clear what “addictions” Courtney was referring to, though she has in the past talked about problems with cocaine and heroin.

Courtney also posted the number of her suite at the Mercer Hotel in New York where she was staying.

Marlon – son of hard partying Rolling Stones rocker Keith and Anita Pallenberg – posted a message back, saying Courtney’s request wasn’t “my forte”, but adding “am seeing Anita tonight, will see what can be done via her.”

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS TO PLAY FREE SHOW IN TEXAS NEXT YEAR

The show will be in El Paso, Texas.

Credit: CaliforniaChronicle.com

Speaking Rock Entertainment Center has booked Stone Temple Pilots for a free show at 9 p.m. Feb. 17. It’ll be limited to people 18 and older.

You’ll recall the group canceled its Sept. 21 Coliseum show after singer Scott Weiland went off the rails a few nights before at a concert in Houston.

The band took a couple of weeks off, probably to cool their heads, before resuming their tour.

Tickets sales weren’t particularly strong for that show, which also may have factored into the early break.

GRUNGEREPORT.NET REVIEW OF SMASHING PUMPKINS NEW EP “THE SOLSTICE BARE”

REVIEW OF SMASHING PUMPKINS TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDYSCOPE VOLUME III: THE SOLSTICE BARE
WRITTEN BY GRUNGEREPORT.NET OWNER BRETT BUCHANAN

I reviewed “Tom Tom” last week and I thought I should write a full review of the entire new Solstice Bare EP.  I got it yesterday and popped the CD version in the car in order to get a full listening experience before reviewing it.  The first track “The Fellowship” is a very modern sounding song that has a good hook, the only way I can describe it is Stand Inside Your Love meets Adore/Queen.  I know KROQ here in Southern California has been playing this quite a bit and I think if the Pumpkins push this it could be a very successful radio single.

The second track “Freak” to me was the turning point for the Teargarden project when I first heard it back in July.  I wasn’t a big fan of the first EP Songs For A Sailor, so hearing this was refreshing.  The song sounds even better high quality on a car stereo, the “Life is not a dream” chorus is probably the best chorus Billy has written since “Tarantula.”  I reviewed “Tom Tom” a few days ago and it is definitely my favorite song on the EP, the bridge is classic Pumpkins.  “Spangled” is probably my least favorite track on the EP but to me it still blows away anything off of Songs For A Sailor.  Once the song kicks in it is a good song, I’m just not huge on the opening, it sounds out of place on this EP.

The bonus track on the vinyl version “Cottonwood Symphony” is amazing.  It is simply Billy playing a ukulele and it sounds beautiful, it would be great to see Billy release a full stripped down album with songs like this, it’s a shame this isn’t one of the official 44 Teargarden songs.  To me though overall counting the bonus song this 5 song EP release is Billy’s best since Zwan’s Mary Star of the Sea in 2003.  Billy appears to be back on track after a few years of hit and miss releases, hopefully he can keep it up with the next EP.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS TO TOUR UNTIL JULY 2011, PRAISE JUSTIN BIEBER

Here’s a crappy Google translation:

Monterrey, NL .- It is for your child’s face or their catchy songs, but Justin Bieber has also entered the taste of the rock.
This assertion was made by the members of Stone Temple Pilots, who by telephone from the United States said they could not resist the charms of the popular teenager.

“Not that we are their fans, but we understand that music evolves and a new generation of singers who have come to stay,” said Robert DeLeo, bassist of the band originally from San Diego, California.
“We saw his performance at the AMA (American Music Awards) and really did a good job,” he added.

Aware of over the years, Stone Temple Pilots acknowledges that the young age of the singer of “Baby” is a decisive factor for his career to continue to rise or be lost in the huge surface world that offers the music industry.

“Keep in mind that only a child and now sadly not need to know to play instruments or have studied music to succeed within it. Times are different. ”

In force since 1990, in which songs like “Plush” and “Sex Type Thing” gave them to know, the rockers have declared anxious to return to our country with a concert tour that promise will be awesome.

“It is a tour scheduled to end until mid next year, so imagine the effort and desire that we are putting so that everything goes incredible,” DeLeo forward.
“We have a class production that will surely surprise and a list of songs that no one will be granted.”

With two years away from Aztec soil since last visit was in October 2008, where he shared a stage with Nine Inch Nails, this time Stone Temple Pilots come with a desire to devour not only the public but also enchiladas, tostadas and up kid.

“I confess that one of the things that excites us and we miss is the food of Mexico. The last time we ate everything, practically devour what we gave to prove, “laughs bassist confessed 44 years.
“In Monterrey we loved the kid and roast. It was one of the cities where we ate richer. ”

Stone Temple Pilots rock their energy downloaded on 28 November in North Sultana against the backdrop of the Arena Monterrey, then do the same in Guadalajara and ultimately to the Federal District, the first day of December.

Details
In concluding his Mexican tour, Californians will be presented in Australia and Asia.
Take a “break” to spend the holidays with his family.
Unlike other groups, Stone Temple Pilots no one will cancel his concert in Monterrey.
Mexican fans rated as “very intense.”
His tour will end in July 2011.

COURTNEY LOVE SUED BY JEWELLER FOR NOT RETURNING $114,000 WORTH OF DIAMONDS

Credit: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1332025/Courtney-Love-sued-New-York-jeweller-return-114-000-worth-gems.html#ixzz165hbydR2

Courtney Love is being sued by a New York celebrity jeweller who claims the singer has not returned nearly $114,000 worth of borrowed gems.

The lawsuit, filed today by Jacob & Co, alleges that Love borrowed two white gold and diamond chains, a white gold, floral-design mesh bracelet and a pair of white gold and diamond pave hoop earring.

The jeweller claims that the 46-year-old rocker has only returned the bracelet.

She has apparently indicated she has lost the other items.

Jacob & Co’s lawyer Jeffrey Klarsfeld said their agreement with Love specified that she would be responsible for the gems ‘regardless of loss or damage.’

The jeweller is well known for having a variety of celebrity clients including Madonna, Kanye West and Elton John.

UPDATE ON ALICE IN CHAINS’ 3D CONCERT MOVIE

Administrator Thanks4Tryin posted the following on the official Alice In Chains message board.
There has been no news on this. The project still might be in the production stage. From what the guys have said about this project, there seemed no sense of urgency here. They may be waiting to see the final production and go from there.

There are all of kind of options:

1. Not release it .
2. Release it on its own
3. Release it in the future with some other video project.
4. Think about it and then decide to think more about it in the future.

I think the important thing was that they got the video captured. We will keep our ears close to the ground and share any official news, but I would not expect anything real soon.
